The valve body doesn’t have to come out for this to be installed. The 3-4 piston does require the valve body to be down. New Alto 3-4 nine clutch Powerpack Carbon High Energy HD Part Number: 57757C This kit works in any year of 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L75E This is a must for high HP, heavy abuse applications, but is definitely recommended if you just want to increase the life or durability of any transmission. Stock, these transmissions have between four and six clutches in this pack and never have the right clearance for proper shift quality. With this kit you’ll be able to increase the friction surface area 50%, to nine clutches. Plus, you’ll have selective plates that let you customize the clearance to the desired amount. The kit comes with everything that you’ll need to complete the conversion, including a new special snap ring and pressure plate. The directions that are supplied give all the necessary info, including the required clearances. Remember to soak all of your clutches in tranny fluid for thirty minutes before you install them.
