Description …This is a complete Ford 5R110W Torqushift rebuilt pump assembly that fits 2003- Later 5R110W automatic transmissions that have the factory installed in-line external filter assembly. The pump body casting numbers start with 3C3P, 5C3P or 9C3P This pump has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt by a professional transmission rebuilder. Some of the vehicles using the 5R110W Torqushift transmission are Econoline Superduty, Excursion, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty,, F-550 Super Duty IMPORTANT NOTE: A common mistake with the 5R110W that can have severe consequences is improper fluid-filling procedures & electrical ground issues . The proper way to fill a 5R110 that is completely dry is to add 8 qts then start, let engine run for 5-8 seconds then shut it off & add 4 more qts. of ATF. Restart & then top off fluid level as needed while engine running. Failure to due this can cause major pump & converter damage. Another common problem is not getting the torque converter installed all the way into the gears & splines before bolting the trans to the engine. Make sure to wire brush any rust off the mating surfaces of the trans case & engine block. Both surfaces must be clean of any rust, corrosion or paint. These failures are easy to detect on a failed pump & will not be cover under warranty ….
