Brand New OEM Manual Lever Position Sensor(MLPS)Also known as (TRS) Transmission Range Sensor & (DTR) Ford 4R44E 4R55E 5R55E 1997-On .530″ Bolt Insert / 11-Pin Update (Originally 12 Pin)The 12th Pin had never been used & has been removed from current production.Mounts externally on the transmission case This item is Ford Part No. F7LZ-7F293ABIt has been updated by Ford & the 12th pin has been removed. This sends information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that in turns sends control signals to the transmission. If the engine computer gets bad info than it’s extremely likely it’s going to send bad control info to the transmission. Luckily, it is not very expensive and a rather ‘easy’ replacement.
